1993/1994 Debut season in the Ukrainian top league - Niva finished 10th, and Glinchevskiy Denis played 18 matches.
1994/1995 The best team result in the Ukrainian championship during the period when Denis Glinchevskiy played for the club.
1995/1996 Ukrainian Cup final - Niva reached a national final for the first time in its history, defeating Shakhtar in the semifinal on the way.

Ukrainian Cup Final 1996: A Historic Moment

On May 26, 1996, the Ukrainian Cup final took place at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Niva Vinnytsia met Dynamo Kyiv in front of 47,000 spectators. The match ended in a 0:2 defeat, with goals by Rebrov and Maksimov, but the very fact of reaching the final became a historic achievement for a regional club.

Niva's road to the final was not easy. In the semifinal, the team defeated Shakhtar Donetsk in a penalty shootout - in a match that had been postponed because a large part of the Shakhtar squad suffered food poisoning. That victory and that run became a symbol of the fighting character of the whole generation of Niva players to which Denis Glinchevskiy belonged.

Participation in the final gave the club the right to play in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in the 1996/97 season - the first and so far only European tournament in Niva's history.

Contribution to Club History

FC Niva Vinnytsia was founded in 1958. Over decades of existence, the club went from Soviet competitions to the top league of independent Ukraine. The period when Glinchevskiy Denis played there (1993-1997) coincided with the most eventful stretch in the club's history: the fight for survival among the elite, a cup breakthrough, and the first European experience.

For Denis, those four seasons became the foundation of a professional career. The 81 matches played for Niva are not just statistics. They are participation in the life of the club at a turning point: when Ukrainian football was only building its system, when regional teams held together through enthusiasm and the character of players, and when every season in the top league was an achievement in itself.

The main contribution of Denis Glinchevskiy lies not in records or spectacular goals, but in belonging to the generation that wrote Niva into the history of Ukrainian and European football. Such players are the unseen backbone of any club success.
